This week’s 52 Weeks of Giving in Memory of Wayne Gray is providing a gift of $10,000 to the LifeHouse Emergency Shelter.
BGC Prince County operates LifeHouse Emergency Shelter – the only 24/7 women and children’s shelter in Summerside. Since opening in June 2022, LifeHouse has been a lifeline for young mothers and women in crisis, offering safety, stability and connection to wraparound support services. 
In 2024, they served 69 women and were forced to turn away 86 others due to lack of space. This gift will directly support core emergency shelter services, including meals and snacks, hygiene products, diapers, baby needs, transportation to appointments, emergency safety supplies and program materials.
The gift will continue to allow the organization to continue to offer a safe shelter, dignity and stability to women and children who have no were else to turn.
