We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to primarily service PEI, Amherst and Moncton areas (other properties throughout Atlantic Canada may be required from time to time) to join our team.
This position is based out of the Charlottetown, PEI office at 20 Great George Street.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs .
- Conduct repairs and maintenance requests from tenants and property managers promptly.
- Perform preventative maintenance to avoid costly repairs in the future.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Inspect and manage common areas, including landscaping and parking lots.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, technician notes when applicable, job summary of hours materials used.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and ensure all maintenance tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Work independently while protecting personal and public safety while adhering to all regulations and laws.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Assist in the preparation of properties for new tenants.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and address their concerns.
- Participate in afterhours on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests.
- Collaborate with property managers to plan and execute maintenance projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the property management team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Property Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair.
- Ability to read and interrupt technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labour, including being able to lift up to 60 lbs. and climbing.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Customer service-oriented.
- Experience with property management software is an asset.
- Driver license
