Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the management team, coaching and guiding in effective people management and employee performance.
  • Oversee the Human Resources for The Gray Group – Real Estate & Development, and Operating Businesses – HLINE Enterprises while providing support for KOA Campground and Fox Meadow Golf Course.
  • Anticipate seasonal hiring needs and spearhead effective full-cycle recruitment.
  • Manage and maintain employee documentation and personnel files.
  • Handle payroll functions, including updating and processing employment paperwork, but the administering will be an accounting team function.
  • Organize and coordinate Quarterly and Annual Performance Reviews.
  • Maintain company Standard Operating Procedures for Employee Handbooks and company policies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations and employment standards, including the Employment Standards Act.
  • Acting as the Pension and Benefits Administrator maintain employee benefit programs by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends and recommending benefit programs to senior management.
  • Execute HR programs and processes to attract, develop and retain employees, including performance management, benefits management, learning, rewards and recognition.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Champion the communication and development of internal procedures, improving where and when needed for continued success.
  • Support departments in developing and delivering strategic HR plans to fit the overall business vision.
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management meetings with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, training managers to coach and discipline employees, and counselling employees and supervisors.
  • Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role with the overall vision.
  • Evaluate the future business needs while supporting the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of the team members.
  • Build Strong relationships with all management and employees, fostering trust and promoting collaboration while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working in a human resource position (5+) yr.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources with CPHR designation.
  • Experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed to our company locations.
  • Experience with HR systems, HRIS and MS office suite.

Salary

  • $65,000-$90,000 – based on experience.
