We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team, based out of the Charlottetown, PEI office at 20 Great George Street.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of commercial and residential facilities and the included real estate. 
  • Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal. 
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects to modify commercial and residential properties. 
  • Organize and conduct regular property inspections to identify deficiencies and plan future capital improvements.  
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems. 
  • Plan and manage the facility’s operations budget. 
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility. 
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety or regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that trouble calls received from clients or tenants are acted upon.
  • May hire and supervise rental agents, property clerks, building superintendents or other support staff performing operational, clerical or maintenance duties. 
  • Liaison with contractors and coordinate required repairs, follow up on progress, validate work is performed in accordance with the Statement of Work and approve payments.  
  • Travel within Atlantic Canada to visit properties will be required. 
  • On call and after-hours services or support will be required 

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience
    Strong negotiation, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage project budget.
  • A high degree of client service orientation.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and performance.
  • Experience in working with confidential information and respecting the importance of confidentiality.
  • Drivers license
