We are looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team, based out of the Charlottetown, PEI office at 20 Great George Street. The ideal candidate must share our core values of honesty, desire to grow professionally, be proactive, and have the capacity and knowledge of the position.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable processing and reviews with ERP system.
  • Accounts receivable functions with volumes and deadlines.
  • Preparation of journal entries.
  • Various reconciliations and reviews.
  • ERP data entry.
  • Payroll processing and reconciliation.
  • Assist other team members when needed.
  • Work on Ad Hoc projects assigned by the manager.

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • Ideally, some experience in hands-on, bookkeeping and full cycle accounting exposure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Previous experience working in accounting is considered an asset.
  • A positive attitude.
