This week the 52 Weeks of Giving in Memory of Wayne Gray will be supporting a cause that is familiar to a lot of Islanders, Easter Seals PEI. Easter Seals PEI is committed to enhancing the quality of life, self-esteem and self-determination of Islanders living with disabilities across the province.
Easter Seals supports:
  • School tours, our Island students look forward to meeting the ambassador each year. This year, we will meet Remi Dean, a grade three student at Ellerslie Elementary School
  • Summer camps funding to allow many young children, youth and adults with disabilities
  • Horseback riding therapy
  • Students in schools receive funding to learn life skills, business skills such as running a store or learning to bake
  • Furnished classrooms to support young children that find it difficult to focus in a noisy classroom
  • Assistive hearing devices are provided to children to enjoy music therapy, pottery classes, walks and bike rides
  • Scholarships to students with disabilities that are attending post-secondary schooling
It is rewarding that we are able to assist in continuing the programming.
